Dr. Aleida Heinz is originally from Caracas, Venezuela, grew up in Brazil and was raised by great parents. Dr. Heinz is happily married and has two sons and one daughter. Now, she is living & practicing in the USA for almost 10 years. She has a full-time private practice in Charlotte, North Carolina where she helps people from all over the world, and cross-cultural couples.
Dr. Heinz holds a Ph.D. in Human Sexuality from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality (IASHS) in San Francisco, CA, a Master’s degree in Sexology and Couple Clinical Counseling, and a BS in Family Science & Psychology from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. She is a Board Certified Sexologist by the American College of Sexologists (ACS), a Certified Sex Counselor by The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), and member of the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS).
Also, she studied Analytical Psychology in the Jungian Institute of Analytical Psychology, has advanced training in Rational-Emotive-Behavior Therapy (REBT), hypnotherapy, and has been a Master Sex Coach Trainer for Sex Coach U, USA.
Dr. Heinz began her career as a Couple Counselor in 1998, years later she became a Sexologist. For many years Dr. Heinz has been invited to numerous radio and television shows as well as to international conferences. She was one of the co-hosts in the TV show “The Specialist” in Charlotte, NC. Nowadays, she writes articles and columns for newspapers and magazines regarding healthy relationships & sexuality and she is about to publish her new book: “Seven Sex Secrets”.
Dr. Heinz has over 20 years of experience counseling individuals & couples in English and in Spanish. She has specialized in helping couples to sustain healthy relationships by balancing love, lust, romance, passion, and commitment.
