Dr. Aleida Heinz is a Venezuelan-American who grew up in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, was raised by a Venezuelan-German father and a Venezuelan mother. Dr. Heinz is happily married and has two sons and one daughter. Dr. Heinz is living & practicing in the USA for around 12 years. She has a full-time private practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Heinz specialize in relationships, intimacy, and sexuality, including trauma, infidelity, sexual anxiety, and sexual problems such as Low Desire and Premature Ejaculation.
Dr. Heinz holds a Ph.D. in Human Sexuality from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality (IASHS) in San Francisco, CA, a Master’s degree in Sexology and Couple Clinical Counseling, and a BS in Family Science & Psychology from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. She is a Board Certified Sexologist by the American College of Sexologists (ACS), a Certified Sex Counselor by The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), Certified Trauma Specialist by the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists, member of the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS), AASECT, and the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists (NACBT).
Also, Dr. Heinz studied Analytical Psychology in the Jungian Institute of Analytical Psychology, obtained an advanced training in Rational-Emotive-Behavior Therapy (REBT), hypnotherapy, and has been a Master Sex Coach Trainer for Sex Coach U, USA.
Dr. Heinz began her career as a Couple Counselor in 1999, years later she became a Sexologist. For many years Dr. Heinz has been invited to numerous radio and television shows as well as to international conferences. She was one of the co-hosts in the TV show “The Specialist” in Charlotte, NC. Nowadays, she writes articles and columns for newspapers and magazines regarding healthy relationships & sexuality and she is about to publish her new book.
Dr. Heinz has over 20 years of experience counseling individuals & couples in English and in Spanish. She has specialized in helping couples to sustain healthy relationships by balancing love, lust, intimacy, sex, and passion, which she calls: LOVEX.
Dr. Heinz believes that: Lovemaking is the ultimate connection, and that a deep connection leads to lovemaking.
